Electronic industry - High-purity NMP recovery and dehydration


Solvent/Media: Water-containing N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP, a coating solvent for lithium battery electrode manufacturing)
Dehydration equipment: Precision distillation + molecular sieve adsorption combined process
Application background: NMP is highly hygroscopic. The recovered NMP contains water and a small amount of degradation products. For electronic-grade NMP, extremely high purity (>99.9%) is required, and the water content must be controlled below 100 ppm.
Process flow:
Pre-treatment and crude distillation: First, remove solid impurities and heavy fractions.
Precision distillation: It is carried out under reduced pressure to separate most of the water and light components, obtaining NMP with a lower water content.
Molecular sieve adsorption: The NMP after rectification is passed through a special molecular sieve fixed bed for final deep dehydration, reducing the moisture content to the electronic grade standard of 10-50 ppm.
