Calstar's customers come from all walks of life. Generally speaking, as long as clients who have waste organic solvent recycling and processing needs can use Calstar solvent recycling machine, today I would like to share with you about the protective measures that workers in the coating industry should be aware of.
The solvent gas emitted by the paint in the painting operation, if it is inhaled in the body for a long time, will have an impact on health, and even cause occupational diseases in serious cases. Operators who have been exposed to organic solvents for a long time will be insensitive to odors due to olfactory fatigue. They must not be paralyzed by thinking that they cannot smell the odor or the odor is very light at the work site. It should be known that the concentration in the local area of manual operation is very high in a short period of time. Although a series of measures can be taken to greatly reduce the environmental concentration, there will still be the accumulation of organic solvents in the workplace, which will endanger the health of painting operators. Coating staff should take appropriate protective measures:
1. When using high-pressure airless spraying, you must wear an air-supplied helmet. When painting by hand, you should wear a mask containing activated carbon absorbent.
2. When cleaning the coating surface with thinner (solvent), the operator must wear latex gloves to take the gauze ball soaked with the thinner (solvent) to avoid direct skin contact.
3. Avoid exposing the skin at any time during the painting operation. The surface of the skin that must be exposed should be coated with skin care grease. When the paint is stained on the skin, it should be wiped off with a clean gauze dipped in a small amount of thinner (solvent) in time. And wash with soap and apply skin care oil.
4. If you feel unwell during construction, you should leave the site immediately to rest in a well-ventilated environment, and take medical care in time.
