The Solvent Recovery Machine Prevents Static Electricity When Recovering Butyl Ketone

The generation of static electricity is not terrible, it is important to prevent the accumulation of static electricity. Butanone itself is poorly conductive, and the charge carried by the butanone molecule cannot be conducted, and the charge will be transferred by the moving molecule and will accumulate on the surface. Making any part of the conductive material in contact with the ground immediately causes the charge on the material to be transmitted to the ground. Therefore, the solvent recovery machine should pay attention to the following matters in the process of butyl ketone recovery:


1. Electrostatic prevention during feeding and collection storage:
a. When storing the waste solution of butyl ketone and the recovered butyl ketone, choose metal containers with good electrical conductivity and avoid using plastic drums;
b. The charge accumulated on the surface of butanone is slowly discharged into the air, and the speed of light handling is slowed down when operating butanone;
c. Because the greater the friction force between butanone and the container, the faster the separation speed, the greater the static electricity produced, so the impact and shaking of butanone should be minimized when operating butanone;
d. When charging and collecting the recovered butyl ketone, control the flow rate of butyl ketone, not too fast, generally controlled at 3.5-4.0m /s(or 0.5 liters per second);


2. Electrostatic prevention of the air pumping (exhaust) system
a. The suction (exhaust) air pipeline should be installed to eliminate static electricity, and the filter of chemical fiber and other insulating materials should not be used in the pipeline.
b. Ensure the smooth and normal operation of the pumping (exhaust) air system, and regularly inspect its stability.
c. The extraction unit should be explosion-proof and grounded reliably.


3. Electrostatic prevention of environmental factors
a. Control the relative air humidity of the operating environment. The water vapor ion state in the air with high humidity is a good conductor, which is conducive to the electrostatic discharge to the air. If the humidity is above 70%, there is no danger of static electricity. (Humidity control device, spraying water, etc., can be used to improve humidity);
b. Prevent electrification of the human body and objects near hazardous sources. Therefore, you can wear anti-static clothes and shoes. A ground floor of duralumin or other conductive metals in the walkway is installed onsite to improve the electrical conductivity of the floor. In addition, a ground handrail can be installed to facilitate human discharge.
C. The ion wind gun or ion fan can be used to prevent the discharge of the butanone recovery machine and the surrounding environment and storage items.
