What is an acetone solvent recovery machine?
An acetone solvent recovery machine is a specialized device that uses distillation (fractional distillation) principles to heat, vaporize, and condense waste acetone solutions containing impurities, thereby obtaining high-purity, reusable acetone. It enables the recycling of solvents and is classified as an industrial environmental protection and resource regeneration equipment.
Core working principle
Heating and evaporation: Add the waste acetone solution to the distillation pot. Through electric heating or steam heating, acetone (boiling point approximately 56°C) is preferentially evaporated into gas.
Vapor-liquid separation: Steam enters the fractionating column or packed tower, where more precise separation is achieved by taking advantage of the differences in boiling points to remove some high-boiling-point impurities.
Condensation recovery: Pure acetone vapor enters the condenser (usually cooled by water), re-liquefies into high-purity liquid acetone, and flows into the recovery container.
Residue treatment: Solid impurities that cannot be evaporated and high-boiling-point waste liquid remain at the bottom of the pot. After cooling, they are treated as hazardous waste and disposed of centrally.
Main types
By degree of automation:
Fully automatic type: PLC control, automatically complete the entire process of feeding, heating, distillation, cooling, discharging and cleaning. With multiple safety interlocks, it is easy to operate and suitable for continuous production.
Semi-automatic/manual type: Some steps require manual operation, with lower costs. It is suitable for small-batch or intermittent production.
By heating method:
Electric heating: The most common type, with precise control and easy installation.
Steam heating: Suitable for large factories with existing steam sources, providing gentle and uniform heating.
By scale:
Laboratory benchtop machines: processing volume ranges from several liters to several dozen liters, emphasizing safety and flexibility.
Industrial production type: processing capacity ranges from several hundred liters to several tons, emphasizing efficiency and continuity.
