The Application of Automotive Paint Recycling Machines

The Application of Automotive Paint Recycling Machines

I. Technical Advantages
1. High Efficiency Purification
The combined process of activated carbon adsorption and catalytic combustion can ensure that the exhaust gas is discharged up to standard, with a purification efficiency of over 95%.
2. Energy conservation and environmental protection
Compared with traditional combustion technology, energy consumption is reduced by 30% to 50%. The system can recover the heat generated by catalytic combustion for desorption, and can achieve self-heating operation when the concentration of waste gas is high enough.
3. Economic Efficiency
The initial investment cost of the equipment is relatively low, and the annual operating cost varies depending on the scale. Taking an 80,000 cubic meters per hour equipment as an example, the annual operating cost is approximately 180,000 yuan, including about 150,000 yuan for electricity, about 23,000 yuan for activated carbon replacement, and an average of about 5,000 yuan for catalyst replacement per year.
4. Safety and Reliability
The equipment is equipped with multiple safety measures, including explosion relief devices, multi-point temperature detection, and fault alarm systems. The adsorption bed is fitted with temperature detection devices and automatic sprinkler systems. When the temperature inside the adsorption bed exceeds the set value, the sprinkler system will be automatically activated to prevent self-ignition of the activated carbon.
5. Fully Automated Operation
It adopts a centralized control system based on PLC, which can realize automatic sequential start-up, operation, switching and shutdown functions. It can also achieve timed adsorption and desorption functions, and the operation is simple and convenient.
II. Application Scenarios and Industry Trends
Automobile paint recovery machines are widely used in the painting workshops of automobile manufacturing plants and spray booths in auto 4S stores. With increasingly strict environmental protection requirements, various regions are actively promoting the installation of VOCs purification equipment in auto repair enterprises.
In recent years, the "Green Island" model has become a trend in the industry. This model involves integrating the body repair and painting services of multiple 4S stores and establishing centralized painting and repair centers. The "dry filtration + activated carbon adsorption + in-situ desorption + catalytic combustion" process is adopted to achieve centralized and efficient management of pollutants and shared pollution control. Additionally, some enterprises have adopted a third-party service model to recycle, regenerate, and reuse activated carbon and organic solvents, forming a "one-stop" pollution control service.

III. Precautions for Use
1. Temperature Control
The desorption temperature must be strictly controlled within the range of 80-120℃ to prevent self-ignition of activated carbon due to excessively high temperatures.
2. Pretreatment Requirements
The exhaust gas entering the activated carbon bed must be treated by dry filtration to remove particulate matter (less than 5mg/m³), moisture and highly viscous oils to prevent clogging of the activated carbon.
3. Maintenance Management
The activated carbon needs to be regenerated or replaced regularly (with a service life of approximately 1.6 years), the catalyst should be replaced every 2 to 3 years, and the ash accumulation in the heat exchanger needs to be cleaned regularly.
4. Safety Measures
Operators must receive professional training, be familiar with emergency response procedures, and regularly inspect the activity of the catalyst, the sealing of equipment, and the safety valves.
