Trichloromethane is a colorless and transparent liquid. Has a special smell. Sweet. High refractive index, non-combustible, heavy and volatile. The pure product is sensitive to light. When exposed to light, it will interact with the oxygen in the air and gradually decompose to produce highly toxic phosgene (phosgene) and hydrogen chloride. 0.6% to 1% ethanol can be added as a stabilizer. It can be miscible with ethanol, benzene, ethyl ether, petroleum ether, carbon tetrachloride, carbon disulfide and oils, and the relative density is 1.4840. Freezing point -63.5°C. The boiling point is 61～62℃.
